Meditation lying down positions

  1. Lying in the bed
    With a pillow or two, support and lift your chest and head. Lift your knees and support them with a buffer. Possibly, cover your eyes with an eye cushion or wear a mask to enhance relaxation.

As you lie down, place your arms on your side and relax. Alternatively, you can position one hand on your chest and the other on the abdomen-lower section and feel your body and mind connect.

  • Lying on the floor
    Resting on your back, stretch your arms over your head while arching your foot away from your body, giving yourself a pleasant full-body stretch. Move your arms down and place them on your sides with the palms facing up to widen the chest. Relax all your body muscles and enjoy your natural breath
  • Lying on your side
    Sometimes it can feel uneasy lying on the back, whether on the floor or in bed. If this happens, lie on your side and place a cushion under your head to secure your neck. Place a pillow between your knees and bend them ninety (90) degrees.
